Q- What does the home warranty cover?
A- APHW covers heating systems
(including steam, hot water, and geo thermal, and heat pumps),
central air, plumbing, electrical, water heater, major appliances,
roof leaks, water well, septic system, sump pump, electrical
package (such as lighting fixtures, fire/burglar alarm, doorbells),
duct work, attic and exhaust fans, and much more. See contract

Q-How
long does it take for protection to begin?
A-For the seller upon calling
the 800 number, receiving a contract number and faxing a copy of the completed warranty to APHW. Or the seller can fill out a warranty on this website and coverage will begin upon completion.
A-For the buyer upon the closing
of a home. Once our office receives payment, coverage begins
on the date of closing and extends for one year from the date
of closing.
Q-Upon
the listing of a home how long does the seller have coverage
of the warranty?
A-The seller has coverage as
long as the home is listed with the real estate company.
APHW does not have a 180 day drop off date. The real
estate agent does not need to continually renew the
warranty, it automatically is covered as long as the seller
remains with the real estate company.
Q-Is
the warranty transferable to a new owner within the first
year of coverage?
A-Yes as long as APHW is notified
with the change of ownership within the first year. There
is no transfer fee
Q-Can
the warranty be renewed at the same price?
A-The homeowner is sent out
renewal notices a month before the expiration of their warranty,
however the price is subject to change from the orginal purchase price.
Q-Is
there an age limit on a house for coverage?
A-No.
Q-Does
the home have to have a home inspection to be covered?
A-No, it is not required.
Q-Is
the deductible paid to the contractor at the time of service?
A-Yes, the homeowner pays the
deductible to the contractor at the time of service.
Q-Is
there a square footage limit on the warranty?
A-No, there is no square footage
limit.
